I have recently been rewatching The Queen’s Gambit. I watched it a couple of years ago and loved it. I am trying to consciously consume more long-from quality format. I also love the stories that get inside the brain of a genius and show the internal, coming-of-age struggle. I find them inspirational. It even inspired me to pull out an old chess set that we have at home. I used to play chess with my father sometimes. I want to try and teach my daughter, but she might be a bit too young. I think chess is an excellent activity to clear and focus your mind. Here is my favorite scene from the show:
In a similar vein, I have been loving “Lessons in Chemistry” on Apple TV. There is just something fascinating and inspiring about all these badass women in science who defied the odds to be in the place where they were. I wish the show was a bit more focused on science, but it is good regardless:
The show is based on the book with the same title but I have not had a chance to read it yet. It is on my list though.
I have been spending a lot more time in the traffic recently so Spotify is my best friend these days. I have never cared for music that much but I have a newfound appreciation. Some oldies but goodies added to my playlist:
Random quote that I really liked:

I am currently reading “Replay” by Ken Grimwood – it is a nice book, I will review it separately. It reminds me a lot of the “Midnight Library” by Matt Haig.
